This tour runs from April 2021 all year round (Due to Covid 19 the Tour departures are limited to  Fridays only for now, 4 Day Tour $579 departs on Thursdays) and is suited to people aged 18 – 49*.

Itinerary

Note: This tour itinerary can’t be reversed. You cannot start and finish this tour at Uluru at this stage (The 4 Day Tour can be a Uluru Airport pickup). Please contact us for direction of the tour before making a booking.

Day 1: Uluru L/D included

We’ll pick you up around 6am where we begin your outback journey of a lifetime!  We travel to Uluru, where after lunch we head to the Cultural Centre for an insight into the flora, fauna and the local Aboriginal people of the Red Centre.  We take you on a short guided interpretive walk at the base of Uluru.  We then head off to watch the spectacular Uluru sunset while enjoying a nice glass of bubbly with some nibbles.  After that, we return back to our camp to enjoy a hearty meal, a hot shower and a night under the stars.

Day 2:  Kata Tjuta & Kings Canyon   B/L/D included

Enjoy an early morning breakfast before watching the sunrise over Uluru, then it’s off to Kata Tjuta for a walk through the Valley of the Winds. After lunch, we travel to Kings Creek Station viewing the beautiful George Gill Range along the way.   Here we enjoy an outback BBQ dinner and laughs around the campfire under the incredible outback sky.  Later, get into your swags for another perfect view of the beautiful stars.

Day 3:  Kings Canyon   B/L included

Another early start, after breakfast taking on the spectacular Kings Canyon rim walk.  We will visit the North and South walls, The amazing Garden of Eden, as well as the Natural Amphitheatre, along with some stories.  After this amazing walk, we hit the road starting the journey back to Alice Springs. We arrive back in Alice late afternoon.

 What to Bring

  • large bottle of water (at least 1.5L per person)

  • towel and toiletries
  • swimsuit in summer and warm clothes in winter

It is recommended that you only bring what you need for the tour, your main luggage can be stored at Alice’s Secret FREE of charge

Mulgas Adventures tours have an age requirement of 18-49 yrs old. That doesn’t mean you’re not welcome to join the tour, if you’re 50+ they just want you to have an idea of what to expect. Their tour is aimed at the young or the “young at heart” because besides that there is a lot of hiking and sleeping in swags under the stars, most of our passengers are young backpackers aged in their 20’s.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Mulgas Adventures reserves the right to cancel a tour, amend itineraries, change carriers and apply surcharges without notice.  Our departures will be subject to numbers and if we need to cancel a tour or service, every effort will be made to offer a suitable alternative. If no alternative is available, we will refund your tour price in full. (N.B. Applicable to direct bookings only. Travel agents have their own cancellation policies.)

Due to the planning and costs associated with touring, cancellation fees are charged at:

  • 100% within 14 days of departure
  • 50% 15+ days prior to departure

Booking amendments can be made and charges will be as follows:

  • 25% plus any difference in price between the original booking and the new date – 15+ days prior to departure
  • 100% within 14 days of departure

There will be no refund in case of mechanical breakdown or adverse weather conditions.

During these uncertain times, Mulgas Adventures will offer a travel voucher valid for 2 years from travel date for cancellations due to border closures inhibiting your ability to travel (proof of residency will be required).  For flight cancellations and all other cancellations our standard terms apply.

    Covid-19 Information

    Due to the COVID-19 pandemic our operations have been severely impacted. So here’s just some info on how we are going about all this.

    We are OPEN for business and we are working closely with the Department of Health. Hence you can be assured that we are going the extra mile to keep our staff, current and future guests safe.

    Given the circumstances any guest wishing to stay with us is required to provide the completed border arrival form and show evidence about the whereabouts over the past month.
    Reception hours are limited but don't worry, you will be able to get a hold of us via email ([email protected]) or over the phone (+61 (0)8 8952 8686) until 7 pm daily.

    Note that we reserve the right to cancel reservations at any time if we are under the impression that accepting a booking will keep us from complying with the rules.

    From July 17th NT borders will be open to many areas of Australia, however remain closed to arrivals from from declared hotspot areas.
    If you are travelling from a hotspot area you will you will be directed into mandatory supervised quarantine in an identified facility in Alice Springs, and charged $2500.
